Poetry Sunday ~ Isolation

Rom. 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Solitaire

I play the game of solitaire
Isolation of my life.
Gentle peaceful flipping
For the settling of strife.

I long to be free
From impeding worldly addiction
Hours leading into days
The soul shaped in affliction.

A world made up of images
Flashing on a screen
Never breathing in the life
Of the muffled outdoor scene.

This day I will fight to live
Outside the walls I’m in.
My life will never be attuned
To the state of man and sin.
